Rondje Ameland

Every June ‘Rondje Ameland’, a walking tour of approx. 50 km is organized. It started as a joke at the bar in 1997, but has grown into a real walking event. The tour starts at 05.00 am in Hollum and will lead you over the beach of Hollum, along the seawall on the southern part of the Island to Buren and then back to Hollum over the beach, where the finish takes place. Rondje Ameland is not a running race but a beautiful walking event.

Lighthouse trail Ameland

The Lighthouse trail is more difficult due to the varied surface. The trail starts in Hollum. The lighthouse serves as a beacon for all distances: 10 km (’start to trail‘ for beginners), 18 km, 35 km and the UltraTrail of 60 km. The Kids Trail is organized around the lighthouse.
